Just a short walk away, you find a new ski jump (due to be completed in December 2007), which will be the venue for the annual "New Year's jump" - part of the "Four Ski Jump Tournament".

Our Mercure Hotel Garmisch Partenkirchen offers a total of 112 comfortably furnished guest rooms in two different styles, as well as 5 suites. The majority of these rooms feature typical Bavarian-style décor and a cosy lounge area. The other rooms are modern, featuring warm earth tones, and are ideal for families of up to 4 persons. Our 5 suites include a separate living area with sofa and lounge, and a sleeping area with four-poster bed. All rooms offer a breathtaking view of the mountains, whether it be Mount Wank, Mount Kramer, the Wetterstein mountains, the Alpspitze or the Zugspitze.

Food & beverage

Our restaurant "Alt Partenkirchen" offers elegant, high quality regional cuisine. Our head chef Christian Schupp uses only the best produce from local sources. Lamb, veal, fish, vegetables and poultry all stem from the region and are prepared with great care. Within the cosy ambience of our restaurants with their many nooks and crannies, you can start your day with an extensive breakfast, which lives up to its claim of being the "best breakfast in town". In the restaurant "Lüftlstube" you can enjoy all the typical, rustic-style dishes which Bavaria has to offer. Our meals provide sustenance following a tiring day on the slopes or on the saddle, whether you sample hearty "Brotzeit" or "Leberkas". During the summer our attractive beer garden with breathtaking panoramic view of the Alps invites you to unwind in the fresh air. Every Friday we grill a whole suckling pig and serve "Schmankerl".

Area information

Garmisch-Partenkirchen is located in the attractive region of the Werdenfelser Land and is an olympic town, a winter sports destination, a holiday resort and a hiker's paradise. Travel information

- Arriving from Munich, follow the A95 motorway to its end
- Then take the B2 and exit at Tunnel Farchant
- Continue on the B2 towards Partenkirchen/Innsbruck/Mittenwald B2
- After approx. 3 kilometres you will reach a Shell petrol station, where you should turn left into Mittenwalder Straße
