Hotel Orion has 24 rooms. The hotel also has special family rooms with 4 beds.
In addition, there is a dining room.
The terrace looks out onto a splendid, typically Dutch polder landscape.
For groups, barbecue facilities are available. On the island and by the Kagerplassen lakes there are several other good restaurants. From De Kaag, there are many beautiful cycling routes to the coast, the tulip fields or around the Kagerplassen lakes.
The Kagerplassen lakes are ideal for sailing and canoeing. Special routes will take you through beautiful natural scenery. Hotel guests can use our canoes free of charge from 18:00 o'clock.
Services available include sailing boat hire, a variety of restaurants, sailing schools, water-skiing exclusive marina, sailing trips, golf and paint ball.
The spacious conference rooms are equipped with a flipover chart, overhead projector, video, slide equipment and ventilation. For parties and receptions, we have a spacious room with a stage. The location is eminently suitable for conferences, seminars and family and holiday reunions.By Car:
- From Rotterdam / The Hague, drive along the A4 motorway towards Amsterdam.
- Take the Kaag (dorp) exit and follow the signs towards Kaag (dorp) via Roelofarendsveen and Oude Wetering.
- Turn left immediately after the bridge in Oude Wetering and follow the ring canal until you reach Buitenkaag. That is where the ferry departs for Kaag (dorp).
- From Utrecht / Amsterdam, drive along the A4 motorway past Schiphol Airport and take the A44 motorway towards Den Haag Centrum.
- Take the Kaag (dorp) exit and follow the signs to Kaag (dorp) until you reach the ferry.
The ferry will take you to the island of Kaag. You will find us at Julianalaan 19. Kaag is reachable 24-hours per day by using the ferry. Ferry goes every 5 minutes. Costs; EUR 3.50 two-way ticket for a car including 4 persons.
