Decorated with a collection of antiques, it is not just the food that will captivate you at the Hotel De Stokerij restaurant, Jan Breydel.
Situated 800m away from the hotel, a taxi is available to take you to and from the restaurant.
Jan Breydel is well known for it's fish specialities; fresh ingredients are brought from the fish market in Oostende each day.
Lighter foods such as pastas and salads are always on the menu and vegetarian food is available on request.
The restaurant has a capacity of 70 people and a banquet room for up to 120 persons.
During the summer it is possible for guests to dine outside in the beautiful gardens overlooking the surrounding countryside.
The restaurant is open from Thursday to Tuesday, and closed on Wednesdays (all year round), with other restaurants available on the neighbourhood.
Area information
Oudenburg is a quiet polder community with Roksem,Ettelghem,Oudenburg and Westkerke. The Roman church, the recently renovated mill, and nature reserve de Zaagbek (500 meters from the hotel) are worth visiting. Close to Gistel de Godelieveabdij and the famous painter Permeke in Jabbeke.
Perfect location to visit Brugge and Oostende. The area is also nice to explore by bicycle, please feel free to ask staff for routes.

- take exit 6 signposted to Jabbeke
- drive through the city of Jabbeke
- at the third roundabout take the exit signposted toward Gistel-Oudenburg.
- after 5km you will pass a Mercedez Garage Schoutteet on the right-hand side.
