Villa Ducci is situated in a panoramic position with magnificent view over the towers of San Gimignano at 1, 5 km from the city centre. The origins of the villa have been lost in the course of the centuries. Sure is that in the 13th century documents of the municipality of San Gimignano mentioned a watch-tower at San Biagio. During the following centuries a residential complex was formed around the watch-tower. The villa's name comes from the Ducci family who, in the beginning of the 19th century, enlarged and transformed the tower into a villa. Only in the course of the year 2003, the villa was changed into an elegant holiday complex.

Travel information
From Florence: Leave the highway A1 at Firenze Certosa and take the motorway Firenze-Siena towards Siena. Take exit Poggibonsi nord and drive towards San Gimignano. At the first roundabout in San Gimignano continue towards Gambassi for 1,5 km.Directly leave behind the last houses of San Gimig-nano, at the second roundabout turn left towards Gambassi. After 300 mt you will find the entrance of Villa Ducci on the left side.
From Pisa: Leave the highway Pisa-Firenze at Empoli ovest and drive towards Ponte a Elsa. Continue on the SS429 towards Castelfiorentino and then Certaldo. Drive through Certlado and follow then for San Gimignano for 9 km. Directly before arriving in San Gimignano, at the first roundabout take right towards Gambassi. After 300 mt you will find the entrance of Villa Ducci on the left side.
